VRIKSHA KALPA -quote from Sringeri Math

VRIKSHA KALPA

The photos below are from my native area in Mangalore.
From Cannanore -Kanhangad to Mangalore stations. They show the vegetation and greenery, trees planted and nurtured.

Traditional homes in Mangalore-living with Nature.
Trees at all Railway stations -well cared for.

From SRINGERI
Trees are noble -they bear the brunt of the hot sun but yet  give others ...all,  anyone shade, fruits & flowers, prevent soil erosion (in floods control).   Even when cut it gives warmth and shelter as fuel or building material. So our ancients call a tree  Vriksha Kalpa-(tree treasure).
Unquote

The Peepul  & Neem tree are often planted side by side as Shiva -Shakti -they grow and branches entwine with one another--Temples are built beneath this in the South

Plant a Tree
If you have the means to plant a tree, start digging. Trees absorb carbon dioxide and give off oxygen. They are an integral part of the natural atmospheric exchange cycle here on Earth, but there are too few of them to fully counter the increases in carbon dioxide caused by automobile traffic, manufacturing and other human activities.A single tree will absorb approximately one ton of carbon dioxide during its lifetime
.this is a universal need -It will benefit all.
Plants, trees ....all are Divinity Manifested
